Clinical Hypnotherapist, using techniques that result in lasting change.
Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for overcoming and clearing anxiety. During anxiety, the brain switches into ‘Flight, Flight or Freeze mode’ which is designed for ‘life or death’ situations, and for short bursts. However, many people experience this response on a regular basis due to modern-day stresses, such as pressure at work, traffic jams, relationships, social situations, and many more situations that are not life-threatening.
Within seconds of perceiving a threat, a part of our brain, called the amygdala, directs the central and autonomic nervous system to respond. In response, stress hormones, such as adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol are released. Breathing quickens, the heart races, and blood pressure increases, infusing the body with oxygen, while the liver releases glucose for quick fuel. The digestive tract is affected; it’s blood vessels constrict to divert blood to muscles. The colon and bladder may prepare to void their contents in preparation for possible injury (which is why some people experience the need to run to the toilet when they feel anxious).
Being in this state regularly is extremely bad for your health. What we want is the opposite of this -the relaxation response, also called ‘rest and digest’ mode. In your first session for anxiety, I teach the brain how to switch out of ‘Fight, Flight or Freeze’ mode, (out of anxiety) and into relaxation mode. I also begin teaching the subconscious mind that certain situations are not life-threatening, and so there is no need for the extreme response. We make a very relaxing recording on your own phone, for you to listen to, to continue training your mind and body to be this relaxed, healthy state.

The fight or flight response is accompanied by high frequency beta brain wave patterns, while the relaxation response, which is so beneficial to learning and problem solving, is accompanied by low frequency alpha and theta rhythms. Light trance produces these alpha rhythms, and deep trance produces delta rhythms. These states reduce heart rate and blood pressure, relax muscles, and increase the quantity of oxygen flow to the brain.
Anxiety can affect people in many different ways, and each person will have their own experience of how it affects their life, and their mental and physical health. But the relief and happiness of clearing the anxiety through Hypnotherapy, is shared by all 😊

HYPNOTHERAPY IN GROUP SESSIONS:
Whilst Natasha mostly works one-to-one with clients, tailoring their sessions to their specific needs, she also gives group sessions at times. Group sessions can still create powerful change and improvement for individuals, since during trance state, positive suggestions become part of your deep subconscious mind, and inform your beliefs. Your subconscious mind will only accept suggestions that it truly wants, and will never accept suggestions that don’t align with your values or wishes.
Natasha guides groups through a very relaxing hypnotic experience, often focusing on a shared goal like stress reduction, confidence building, letting go of fears, healthier eating, or coping with stress.
The group hypnotherapy can be done as a one hour experience, such as when Natasha ran a term of Hypnotherapy For A Healthy Mind And Body, at her local community house, OR, it can be done within a longer or larger experience, such as when Natasha gave hypnotherapy as a part of a women’s day retreat, run by Arzu Dogan, of Vitality And More.
